    clean property

    awkward coffee service

    comfortable bed but crowded layout

The property was clean and well-maintained, with thoughtful features like a locked-off room in the suite. I appreciated the comfy bed, but the pillows were a letdown—too soft for my taste! Also, having access to a coffee maker was a nice plus, though it was awkwardly placed too high for me to fill easily.

The layout felt cramped and cluttered, making it tough to navigate the space.

    lack of microwave

I had a fantastic time lounging in the hot tub after a long day of hiking and soaking up the sun by the pool. The fitness facility was a bonus, helping me keep up with my routine while enjoying the stay. The only thing was the lack of a microwave in the room, which would’ve been handy for late-night snacks. Overall, I’d recommend bringing your own food for convenience! 😊

    staff demeanor
    missing microwave

Loved the location close to hiking and biking trails. The room layout was spacious. We enjoyed the cleanliness and the contemporary amenities. However, the absence of a restaurant on-site was a letdown, especially when it rained. It was tough to venture out for meals. The front desk staff could improve their welcoming demeanor, felt too robotic at times. Appreciated the underground parking, but the lack of a microwave in the room was a drawback for longer stays.

    uncomfortable bed

The comfort level of the King bed left much to be desired, with an uncomfortable dip in the middle making it tough for two to sleep soundly. The carpets felt dingy and in need of a good clean, while the overall dated appearance of the room detracted from the relaxing vibe one might expect. With the location a bit far from Main Street, especially when the rain began pouring, venturing out or waiting for the shuttle became quite a hassle.

    killer bites
    bomb drink selection
    outstanding service
    rigid cancellation policy
    unempathetic management

Oh man, the culinary scene nearby is lit! Jefe's serves up some killer bites just 1 km away, and Iron Horse Tap, a stone's throw at 0.5 km, has a bomb drink selection. Plus, the lodge staff are truly aces—always on it with service that keeps your spirits high!

Now, on the flip side, dealing with cancellation policies is a real drag. After our car accident, asking to reschedule got us the stiff arm. Management showed little empathy, which left a sour taste.

The Lodge At Mountaineer Square offered spacious, clean accommodations with modern amenities. The outdoor hot tub was a delightful spot to relax after a long day, surrounded by beautiful mountain views—a true retreat for someone like me.
